Grasse : The Fragonard Museum
Hélène & Jean-François Costa Collection
The Fragonard museum is located in the Hôtel de Villeneuve, an old mansion restored in keeping with the tradition of large 18th century stately homes in Grasse. The museum displays 15 main paintings and drawings dedicated to the town's most famous citizen, the painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806). It also exhibits the work of Marguerite Gérard (1761-1837) and Jean-Baptiste Mallet (1759-1835), two other Grasse artists. This collection comes second in France after the Louvre and it is the first one displaying the other two artists.
Open every day from 10 am to 6 pm. Free visit and entrance.
