Catalogue of the photography exhibition "#SIAMOAGATA Les tétins de la résistance" at the Musée Jean-Honoré Fragonard in Grasse, by Charlotte Urbain from 10 June to 8 October 2023.

Patron saint of the town of Catania in Sicily, Saint Agatha protects its inhabitants from the fury of the nearby volcano, Etna. Often depicted in classical painting holding her two breasts on a tray. Embodying resistance to male oppression, Agatha is an exceptional figure in the pantheon of saints. Her courage and inner strength resonate in every Catalan heart, and inspire today's artists. Five Sicilian photographers present their interpretation of and intimate relationship with the saint in approximately twenty photographs taken for the exhibition.

FRAGONARD: A MINDFUL BRAND

Because it's today that we need to think about tomorrow, we are convinced that every step counts, every question is important and every answer is a victory for a more humane and greener planet.

Supporting
together!

Fragonard provides regular support to officially recognised charities, as well as helping with private initiatives. For several years, we have supported an orphanage in India, a French NGO called EliseCare, and other  hard-working charities in the south of France.

Every scrap of fabric
has a life

Because the textile industry produces plenty of offcuts, we use our surplus fabric to make scrunchies, notebooks, tote bags, etc. Every season, we invent new designs according to the prints and lengths we have available.

Journeys with
unique skills

Fragonard is committed to craftsmanship from all over the world and to discovering exceptional artisans, supporting handicrafts with respect for human dignity produced by small, locally selected teams that are regularly visited.

FRAGONARD'S ART OF LIVING:
olfactory to decorative

Fragonard has always wanted to use the best natural raw materials to make its olfactory creations, but the taste for travel has not been limited to the search for these. At the end of the 1990s, alongside its olfactory creations, Fragonard developed an "art of living" concept whereby decorative objects for the home, fashion, accessories and jewellery coexist in harmony, affirming a pronounced taste for travel, age-old know-how and a colourful joie de vivre.

Quilts and bedspreads woven in North India, travel pouches hand-embroidered in Vietnam, when the rice seasons give brave female smallholders a little respite, and artisanal pottery and hand-painted vases from Kashmir were the first elegant and refined elements of the Fragonard art of living. The collections are designed with the originality that is so necessary in this day and age.

With success and a growing taste for travel, many new products have been added over the years. Gentle living and good humour are the brand's watchwords, symbolised by the gently evocative names of the perfumes and the messages embroidered on the travel pouches and the decorative cases, all of which make joyful and refined gifts.
