The Provençal Costume and Jewelry Museum

Former residence of the Marquise de Cabris, Mirabeau’s sister, the Hôtel particulier de Clapier-Cabris has housed the Musée Provençal du Costume et du Bijou (the Provence costume and jewellery museum) since 1997. Patiently collected by Hélène Costa, this exceptional private collection includes 18th and 19th century Provencal costumes and jewellery including dresses, quilted petticoats, lace finery, and hair adornments. These clothes tell the story of the lives of the women peasants, artisans and city dwellers of Provence.

Open to the public every day from 10h to 13h and from 14h to 18h30.

Closed Sundays ad Mondays.

Should you need to have a guided tour of the museum with a lecturer-guide, please contact us per telephone from Monday to Friday : 0033 (0)4 93 36 44 66 or by email : tourisme@fragonard.com
