1926 – 2016, 90 YEARS OF PERFUME
On show at the new Musée du Parfum in Paris and the Musée Jean-Honoré Fragonard in Grasse simultaneously, the exhibition named 1926-2016, 90 years of Perfume presents the history of the Fragonard House using scenography that describes the company’s highlights and hallmarks.
Now a flagship of the traditional perfume industry, the House is proud of its status as a family business with its roots in the town of Grasse. Four generations have handed down the mysteries of our entrancing profession, today supplemented by fashion and home lines and the important collection of Jean-François Costa, displayed in the museums. One of a kind, Fragonard’s history follows a common theme of passion and a love of sharing, handed down from generation to generation.
Perfumes, the Provence region, works of art, trips, family, embroidery, colours and flowers are just some of the sources of inspiration that form the spirit of the House and its universe. For the last 90 years, Fragonard has been making it its mission to generate, through its creations and events, the contagious joie de vivre celebrated by this exhibition.
